   I began this painting one week before Torri died.&nbsp; It was a big, blank canvas and I did not know what to do wtih it, so I put painters tape all over it, smushed color all around and let it dry. <br /><br />Then Torri died.<br /><br />When I pulled off the tape I saw I had a crucifix.&nbsp; In September, I began a process of exploring religion, Catholicism in particular.&nbsp; I finished it recently.
